How the process works,

Initial Conversation We’ll start with a phone or zoom call to discuss the project so we can get an idea of your vision for the project and determine how far along you are in the design process. If possible, we’ll have you email photos of the existing space and photos that have given you inspiration for your project.

We’ll also have a brief chat about budget to help determine which direction to move toward with ideas for selections, etc. We can arrive at a basic idea for budget remotely.

Site Visit After initial discussions, we’ll visit the project to inspect existing conditions, to measure the area for the project, and to continue our discussion of what the project will become.

Estimate and Contract agreement Once the initial details have been sorted, we’ll send over an estimated price. Once a deposit has been received, we’ll get to work on project plans and drawings to solidify the details of your project and submit any necessary permitting applications. Rough materials will also be ordered at this time.

Finish Selections and Scheduling At this point we’ll finalize selections and get finish materials ordered and generate a schedule for the project. At this point, we’ll also discuss details like living arrangements during construction, dumpster location, and make note of any existing fixtures to be reused, etc.

Construction begins The first phase of any remodel project will be protecting the non-affected areas from the dust and mess a construction project generates. We’ll protect flooring, install plastic barriers, and use a filtered fan to create negative pressure so that any airborne dust will not linger in the air and land on the surrounding parts of the house.

Continuous communication throughout the project is paramount to success. At all phases of construction, we’ll have a continuous conversation about and unexpected issues found and progress updates will happen almost daily.

Changes to the project Changes sometimes happen. We’ll try to minimize any and all surprises with extensive planning, drawings, and computer renderings but, it can still be difficult to visualize the end result of a project. If you change your mind about a decision or selection, no problem! We’ll discuss the change determine the impact to budget and schedule, then we’ll write it up and sign it. On the spot if at all possible. Change orders will be paid up front and in full before moving forward. This helps to prevent any surprises at the end of the project and allows us to immediately get to work on the changes.
